LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA--At the end of each month of May, millions of Americans honor those who have lost their lives in conflicts that involved the United States. Perhaps it is fitting that the Los Angeles Lodge of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.) will have its Centennial celebration on Saturday, May 26, 2012, Memorial Day weekend. The Centennial Gala recognizes the hundreds of past and present "foot soldiers" who braved succession of assaults and obstacles to ensure better lives and opportunities for future generations. This major milestone underscores the 100 years of the Lodge's struggle and achievements in advancing civil rights and equality for all Chinese Americans. The formal western-menu dinner and dance will take place at the Hilton Los Angeles/San Gabriel, located at 225 West Valley Blvd., San Gabriel, CA 91776.

One of the central highlights of the evening's program will be recognition of the past presidents of the Los Angeles Lodge for the services. In addition, Centennial Service Awards will be given to Eugene Moy and Bibiana Yung in recognition of their tireless efforts for the Los Angeles Lodge and broader community.

Individual tickets are $100 per person. Sponsorship levels are Diamond ($10,000.00); Jade ($5,000.00); Gold ($2,500.00); Silver ($1,500.00); and Bronze ($1,000.00).

All tax-deducible contributions from the Centennial Gala will benefit C.A.C.A. Community Action, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to provide educational and public service programs for the benefit of the community. For more information on ticket purchases, reservations and sponsorship, donor and volunteer opportunities please email cacalalodge@gmail.com.
